The Importance of the 19th Amendment
This amendment was very important to a lot of people. Women all over thought that this amendment was necessary because all people should be able to vote on who they thought should run the country. They also said, “If everyone else can vote, then why can't we. Even black men were able to vote a little bit after the Civil War in 1870.” The Constitution was ratified in 1787. It took about 33 years of hard work just to get this amendment ratified. This amendment means a lot to a bountiful amount of people because if the 19th Amendment wasn't ratified, then many people would not be able to vote.
